The Immunology Laboratory is accountable for diagnosing in several wide areas including the assessment of autoimmune disease, immunodeficiency’s and immunoproliferative disorders as well as having responsibility for some aspects of infectious disease serology. More work is accomplished together with the Virology, Molecular Diagnostics, Microbiology and Hematology laboratories to provide seamless consultation and diagnostics for various clinical scenarios. The laboratory provides reference diagnostics for both IgG and IgE reactions to the full complement of possible allergens, whether Inhalant, food or other.
